It's final hours now!
We are less than 13,000 away from unlocking Phase 2 Holographics. Will we make it? Many will be asking what happens if we don't reach it or if the campaign ends super close. We don't have a specific plan for this, but we want to see those other cards somehow.
For those familiar with our past Kickstarters, we have unlocked Stretch Goals in our BackerKit before. This may be the most likely option, but given the quick turnaround for production, it is best to try and fund completely here!
Spread the word one last time to whoever you can and let's keep bringing up that backer count!

ZOIC TCG 1st Edition contains 149 cards! As you can imagine, a lot of thought, design and testing goes into developing each and every one. Aiming to create a cohesive experience with no game-breaking outliers, ZOIC features plenty of compounding chain effects, fun abilities, strategic combos, and multi-card storytelling.

Behind the Scenes of ZOIC!

A trading card game can't function alone on just having nice artwork and shiny foils, though we have that covered! A great game must be well-balanced, with easy-to-learn mechanics built on a solid foundation that cultivates creative strategies, fosters engaging battles, and much, much more.
We took this to heart in developing, testing and refining ZOIC TCG, ensuring that we offer a dinosaur trading card game that's more than its art: a game that sticks around.
With that said, let's dive into how ZOIC TCG came to be...
Fueled by their childhood love of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Digimon and more, Chris and Ross first discussed creating a trading card game several years ago. They felt that there was yet to be a definitive dinosaur TCG on the market (certainly not one that includes armors and dragons too) and wanted to create a game that incorporates all the amazing art from Mesozoic to Cyberzoic!
But, with all of the action-figure ongoings at Creative Beast Studio and no clear point to start, the idea floated around, only being mentioned once every few months. That was until 'SpinoDude' joined the team...
As it turned out, 'SpinoDude' had been working on a dinosaur TCG for most of his life! The long discussed 'idea' saw its first spark, and with enthusiasm we got to work.
We explored many mechanics like creating one based around eating habits, requiring a meat and plant supply, determining a 'health' system, categorizing Beasts into classes, and defining prehistoric strength levels. Throughout this process, a few elements stayed, some died, and many elements evolved! But it wasn't until inventing pack building that ZOIC's identity began appearing.
Many of 'Spino's' original concepts went on to become the foundation of ZOIC, but we needed some extra help to further define the game. That support came in Cesar Chavez. With a lifelong passion for TCG's, and years of competition at various tournaments, Ceasar helped align our many ideas into a functional and exciting game!
This collaboration brought forth what makes up a lot the game today: Hunting Tyrants, Herding Bruisers, Pack Building Skirmishers, Fossilizing Apex Beasts, and a unique Armor strategy. ZOIC was ready to begin testing!
We took ZOIC TCG to Toylanta, JoeFest, and G-Fest and began building a team of play testers to put our game through its paces! We received incredible feedback from both conventions, but the most pivotal response came from our determined testers.
Lead by Ross' brother, Ryan, he assembled his Magic: The Gathering group with fervor, having a narrowed focus to 'break the game'...and break the game they did!
Through that process, ZOIC underwent major improvements (one could say a... Forced Evolution) that introduced Egg Hatching, better balanced gameplay, hastened Beast summoning, reactionary chain-based events, and so much more. This was the most important stage of ZOIC development that forged our game into what it is now.
Further expanding the features of ZOIC, Chris pushed for alternate play styles that could accommodate all ages and interests! With his direction and collaboration with our testers, ZOIC jr., Paleo, and Multiplayer were born!
Thanks to Chris, and his equally 'chaotic' son, Dreadnox, ZOIC can be played with ages 5+ using ZOIC jr. rules. Click the image to watch them play!
Throughout that time, David Silva and Ross assembled an army of artists to create many amazing and exciting new illustrations. Some of these final works are still in development as of this update! With over 50 brand new pieces made, ZOIC TCG is packed with exciting yet-to-be seen artwork. A highlight of this experience was working with comic book legend, Brett Booth!
And with all of that, the story of ZOIC is only just beginning!
What started as a conversation between Chris and Ross 3 years ago, EXPLODED to life with the passion of our team and its many collaborators. ZOIC TCG grew to more than what we could have imagined it to be, and all made possible by YOU! This overview of the origins of ZOIC TCG only scratches the surface of the effort and passion involved in bringing this project to life.

Stretch Goal 3 UNLOCKED & ONE WEEK LEFT

THIRD STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED!
We are ecstatic to announce that ALL 12 Mythic cards included in ZOIC TCG 1st Edition will now be enhanced with premium metallic foil stamping!
With a metallic finish applied to the magenta border and title, Foil Stamping transforms these cards from epic to Mythic. We are PUMPED to add these to ZOIC as that shiny art frame is going to make these cards pop!
Next up, unlocking at $65,000, PHASE 2 HOLOGRAHPIC!
If unlocked, we will be able to produce and add even more full art, holographic cards to ZOIC TCG 1st Edition. These will be randomly packed into Booster Packs for your chance to find!
With that, we have a few surprises in store. Here's an early look at one:
Connecting cards are some of the coolest cards to collect and own! If we meet this goal, we will be able to have the amazing Raph Lomotan complete these illustrations and add them, in holographic glory, to the game.
Let's push it as far as we can go and get these amazing cards added to ZOIC TCG!
It's hard to believe there are only 7 days left until the end of the campaign! That means we will soon be launching into production, but not before reaching those other Stretch Goals.
